Volunteer for Africa is a non-profit organisation and a centre point for volunteering in Africa.
Challenge
After completing the Volunteer Latin America website for design agency Web Breakfast (UK), they asked me to work on their sister site, Volunteer for Africa, which needed a design upgrade.
Approach
I created a modern, ‘panel’ style website with a video embedded in the homepage header, immediately engaging users with stories about volunteering. The background design features an earthy colour scheme inspired by the natural landscapes of Africa. Beautiful African imagery of animals and landscapes are used to evoke the flavour of the country. The website design features modern, easy-on-the-eye typography and simple icons to highlight key messages. The testimonial photos add a ‘human touch’ to the site.
