Experience Queenstown is the ultimate guide to exploring Queenstown, from the inside out. The site is a valuable resource of information and enables you to book virtually anything in Queensland from accommodation to events. The client wanted to modernise their existing website.
Approach
I felt the website needed to be dynamic and striking so I designed a large image for the home page which will change each season. The client requested that it was designed with development using the twitter bootstrap framework in mind, as it would be built responsively to work across mobile phones, tablets and desktops. I enhanced the typography by using distinctive Typekit fonts, and chose a ‘flat’ design style and colourscheme. The end result is a sharp and contemporary website, with simple navigation and memorable imagery. The client told me they were ‘thrilled’ with the result.
